Minnesota is famous for its winters, which usually arrive right before Halloween. Come prepared by traveling with snow chains and warm winter clothing. Summers are consistently warm and humid with some heat lightening and possible tornadoes. The very best time to visit is during the spring and in the fall when the leaves change. For winter camping, ice fishing, and skiing, plan your trip for after November, when the lakes have had a chance to freeze.
