For you brave souls who will be parking along San Francisco's hilly streets, you need to know that it is the law that you curb your wheels. This means that if you are facing uphill turn your tires toward the street, if you are facing downhill turn your tires into the curb. This allows your tires to help stop your car if your emergency brake  fails. For obvious reasons, this is a city law they take pretty seriously. Also, if you're in an RV, it's simplest to park your rig in a safe place away from the city and take public transportation.
